Microsoft Photo Story
I just learned about Microsoft's Photo Story. It is a great way to have kids bring poetry to life through photos and music. Think-alouds are easily taught through this clever program that includes a voice-over component which allows kids to narrate their own slides. Check out my video above that I pieced together from my days teaching at Red Cloud Indian School!

Megan, This is beautiful! I really loved watching and listening to your photo story. Red Cloud should have it as part of their website - it is inspiring! I'm going to go try and make one and hopefully inspire you right back.
Megan Bensley, this is AMAZING. I agree with Beth - it should be on Red Cloud's webpage. I love it, and I love the Lakota prayer. I hope mine will be even half as amazing as yours!
Megan, your photo story is so wonderful! The pictures are beautiful and the song is impressive. When I read your comment to my blog, I was surprised that you mentioned about Lakota. My husband and I have been supported education for Lakota Children for years. We donate Lakota children twice a year although not so big amount of money. They always send us very lovely hand made items by kids, such as, a small dreamcatcher or beads bracelets. I really love them and keep them in my jewelry box. I do not have precious jewelries but these handcraft jewelries are treasure for me. I would like to visit Lakota children school in the future.
